The building, totaling 14,000 m² plus a basement, dates from around 1900 and features exquisite detailing. The building is set to undergo a major renovation. After the renovation, it will emerge as a modern office building with a large covered courtyard and a grand staircase connecting the building to Rådhuspladsen.

The design work encompasses everything from an initial conceptual definition of all future load-bearing structures. This will be followed by the main design phase, which includes the design basis, structural calculations, construction plans and details, structural demolition, temporary bracing, and engineering designs coordinated with ongoing work on the neighboring lot, including the current metro construction project.
