The client wishes to construct a three-story, 750 m² extension to the existing residential property.

The extension will consist of a basement with a car showroom, as well as a banquet hall and utility rooms.

The ground floor will feature a spa, a fitness area, and access areas to the existing building. The first floor is to be designed as a “man cave” with staircase access. The building will generally be constructed using in-situ concrete, with the exception of parts of the first floor, which will be a steel structure supported by a concrete slab. The first floor will be a partially cantilevered structure.

For this project, ABC Construction Consulting is responsible for the following: finalizing the project proposal, preparing the regulatory submission, and developing the detailed design. Next, we will review the supplier’s design and adapt the structural details for client-supplied items such as a car lift, turntable, garage door, and hot tub, as well as review the concrete contractor’s formwork drawings and the steel contractor’s structural calculations.

Finally, tender documents will be prepared for the competitive bidding of trade contracts, and supervision of the construction project and the final handover will be conducted. The project for sheet piling and protection against rising groundwater from aquifers is being carried out by Gekteknikker in collaboration with ABC.
