The health center is part of a political vision aimed, among other things, at ensuring more coordinated healthcare services locally. The building will thus house dental care, primary healthcare, and home and nursing care.

In addition to consolidating the municipality’s health services, the building will also serve as a modern office for 220 employees.

Four of the municipality’s centers will be consolidated on the property on Østergade: the two centers under Social and Health Services—the Center for Social Services and the Center for Health and Care—as well as the PPR and dental care services from the Center for Day Care and Schools, and the entire Center for Employment and Youth.

With its four stories, green roofs, and facades in warm earth tones, the building is designed to blend harmoniously into the landscape among prehistoric hills, lakes, and forests.

The heart of the building is the vibrant community plaza. Here, a central, open staircase connects the entire building into a unified space where municipal services are visible. All areas are linked to the plaza, bringing together both residents and staff. There will be level-free access to both the ground floor and the first floor, as the building takes advantage of the undulating landscape. From inside, there is close contact with nature, and the choice of materials reflects the surroundings, including stone and warm wood.

The building is based on a future-proof modular design that can be easily adapted to new needs, both architecturally and technically.
