The development is designed as a connected block complex located north of the existing Pilehavehus. The existing Pilehavehus and the new development are linked by an extension of the central walkway, which also connects the existing buildings.

The two residential wings each contain eight senior housing units distributed across three different apartment types. The residential wings are interconnected around shared facilities and common access routes. A green common area is maintained between the existing and new buildings. The facades are constructed of soft-brushed red brick, which complements the style of the existing Pilehavehus.

The right home and a good local environment help create a higher quality of life for residents. It was therefore important for ZESO to contribute our experience and know-how, which—together with the latest knowledge on modern, flexible housing for seniors and the experiences of the various stakeholders—supports the quality of each individual home.

The project framework supports the needs of the target group and reflects Vallensbæk Municipality’s desire to put residents at the center of care, with a high level of professional expertise provided close to the residents.
