Nature of the Project
St. Lawrence Church was built as a medieval church around the year 1100. The church (except for a magnificent Gothic tower) was demolished in 1531 during the Reformation.
In 1901, the new Catholic parish council in Roskilde was founded. The parish grew over time, and in 1914, an extension was added to the church, resulting in the church that stands today.
ABC, together with our regular partners, has been responsible for the renovation of the church. ABC managed the design phase of this project, which involved a comprehensive renovation of the water, heating, and electrical systems, which were outdated and, in several cases, non-compliant with regulations.
The renovation included the school, the parish hall, and offices on the ground floor; commercial space on the first floor; the parsonage; and the systems within the church building itself.
