The work at the two schools is fundamentally based on Rudersdal Municipality’s plan for “Future Learning Environments in Rudersdal,” which emphasizes open learning environments that support students’ active participation in their learning.

Based on Rudersdal Municipality’s plan for “Future Learning Environments in Rudersdal,” the renovation and remodeling project at each school primarily involves renovating and remodeling the schools’ interior physical and indoor environmental conditions (technical installations) are renovated and remodeled.

In addition, the schools’ exterior facilities will also be improved with the aim of supporting and connecting the school’s learning environments, both inside and out. In addition to the project’s focus on the academic learning environments, a partial renovation of the school’s existing roof structure must also be carried out.

The project was awarded under the framework agreement for Rudersdal Municipality, which was won in 2018 by Rubow Architects, together with ABC Consulting Engineers and JL Engineering. As a sub-consultant to the lead consultant, Rubow Architects, we handled all aspects of engineering consulting related to the load-bearing structures in our role as structural engineers. In this context, ABC prepared, among other things, structural documentation, a certified structural engineer’s statement, and construction drawings.
